I have been involved in consciousness since I was 18. I began by reading and I didn’t have to go far. Mum’s bookshelf had all sorts of authors on spirituality and empowerment. For starters I read Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, Sanaya Roman, Susan Jeffers, Thomas Moore and M. Scott Peck. I loved Stuart Wilde and Carl Jung. Robert Johnson became a fav.
I am drawn to the esoteric and celebrated my 21st birthday in a Kabbalah class. I have had some great teachers. Evelynne Joffe introduced me to the Kabbalah and Denny Johnson inspired my passion for Rayid Meditation.
After meeting Denny in 2000 I have been meditating every day. I find meditation awesome. Meditation promotes spirituality. It has opened my intuition and given me clarity on direction. I have met my higher self and all sorts of aware beings. I have felt bliss and been shown my passions in life. I have learnt not to be hard on myself. I feel a constant link to something greater.
I have been teaching meditation for many years. I have spoken on Rayid meditation at the Living Now Festival, the Mind Body Spirit Festival and community radio. I am an observer and learnt from past failures and successes. I have learnt from every one of my relationships. The nature of masculinity intrigues me. I am an advocate of the essential role of wellbeing.
I am all about reaching your potential and doing what you love. Find what inspires you and makes you passionate. Set goals and then identify the steps you need to achieve them. Currently I am working on my Shadow. I was hospitalised for depression and a deep anxiety that often became bouts of terror. These are Shadow traits. I believe they surface for the reason of becoming conscious so you can work on acknowledging, processing, then releasing them.
I love enchantment and fantasy. I think The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is the perfect children’s book. Other inspirations are Enid Blyton, JRR Tolkien, David Gemmell, David Eddings, Raymond E Feist and Gary Gygax. My favourite artists are Clyde Caldwell and Larry Elmore. I recently bought a signed and numbered Larry Elmore Inspirations Art Book. Very excited
History fascinates me. My heart drew me to Britain and Italy. I explored castles and ancient ruins. I wanted to live in a castle as a child. Myth is a passion – especially Greek, Roman and Arthurian. I can read fairy tales all day. I also write my own myths and fairy tales. I love to write. I run and lift weights. I value my mates. I enjoy their antics and having a good laugh. I believe fun and happiness should be your measure in life.
